Term of Service Support
Stronger together
This program is an integral part of the ‘Derech Eretz’ path. With 100% of our alumni going directly into IDF service and or national service it is a critical stage as they evolve as citizens and young adults and can have lifelong effects on their lives.
Since Oct 7th, 2023 this program has evolved drastically. With many alumni dealing with months upon months of intense military service, wounded and unfortunately also losing friends and comrades. Our trained and dedicated staff work alongside ALL our alumni every step of the way, through thick and thin to make sure each of our alumni feels they are heard, supported, welcomed and cared for. This is directly in partnership with each alumni IDF leadership and Support staff and professional social workers and psychologists if needed.
The Program
Throughout this program each alumnus can choose and pick the amount of support they receive including:
- One-on-one mentoring (Big Brother/Sister peer led)
- Workshops and tools for mental health, wellness and overcare in partenrship with the Natal Israeli National Tramu and Resilience Center and Ministry of Defence.
- Chohort-based retreats bring together our alumni with guidance, support and care.
- Networking – during larger annual events meeting Alumni from 2011 to today.
- Volunteer opportunities to give back to the community
- And much more
We believe that with professional and personalized support, a strong sense of belonging to ‘Derech Eretz’, and the powerful bond formed within their group, each and every graduate can fully realize their potential during their service—and make a meaningful contribution to the country they love so deeply.
Our fallen
Since 2011, ‘Derech Eretz’ has over 1,947 to date and we honor our fallen Alumni who have given their life in defending the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
We remember them not only in words but in our actions. Here is more about our alumni. May you all always be remembered and honored.
